The Beginning, From the Middle

This is new to me, but I've been told blogging can be fun. So I'll give it a try. I'm a 51 year old wife, mother, Mema (grandmother), sister, daughter, aunt, and I'm retired and have a wonderful life.

I like to sew, cross-stitch, go antique/junk shopping, read, and just spend time with my wonderful husband of almost 33 years, and our little terrier, Freddie. I have three wonderful children, ages 30, 27, and 23. My youngest daughter has a daughter who is about to turn one year old, and she is the most amazing thing in our lives at the moment. It's true, being a grandparent is more amazing than you can imagine.

My husband and I just returned from a 2 week vacation to Alaska which was completely amazing, so maybe I'll use that subject to kickstart this little blog and get comfortable. I haven't read many blogs and have never really considered doing one, but a good friend of mine has one and I recently caught up with her life by reading it, and it is a wonderful way to just record daily thoughts and express yourself, and I thought I might enjoy it. So here goes!!

  1. Lynne Tilley! You have a blog!!! I'm so excited! You're going to meet the nicest people, you'll wonder how you ever did without it!

My laundry story really did happen exactly the way I told it. I'll never ever forget it! We have the best laughs about it now!

    Love you bunches! Vickie

  2. Hey Lynne - looking forward to you getting back to Texas! No place like HOME, is there!

  3. Hello Lynne,

Welcome to blogging! It is very fun and you'll meet the best of people. Just be yourself and those who relate to you will find you.

I can tell you have a great friend in Vickie.

I do hope you'll come by and visit me at Hospitality Lane as soon as you are settled.

    Happy Monday!

    Becky K.

  4. Hi, Lynne! Come on in; the water's fine. Looking forward to getting to know you; since you are Vickie's friend, you are ours, too. I just started blogging in September, and it's relatively new to me, also, but I think you'll enjoy it. Can't wait to see and hear about your Alaska trip!
I'm at attractedtoshinyobjects. Come on by and visit.

  5. Hello Lynne,
welcome to blog land. I warn you they are very addictive, informative and can make you laugh and cry.
    All at the same time.
    Will visit often

  6. Hi!

Welcome to Blog Land! Vickie sent me your way - sounds like you have some exciting moves coming your way. And Alaska, I'm so jealous, I'll bet it was beautiful, post pictures, I'd love to see them. Anyway, nice to meet you.

    Blessings, Barb
