The Beginning, From the Middle

This is new to me, but I've been told blogging can be fun. So I'll give it a try. I'm a 51 year old wife, mother, Mema (grandmother), sister, daughter, aunt, and I'm retired and have a wonderful life.

I like to sew, cross-stitch, go antique/junk shopping, read, and just spend time with my wonderful husband of almost 33 years, and our little terrier, Freddie. I have three wonderful children, ages 30, 27, and 23. My youngest daughter has a daughter who is about to turn one year old, and she is the most amazing thing in our lives at the moment. It's true, being a grandparent is more amazing than you can imagine.

My husband and I just returned from a 2 week vacation to Alaska which was completely amazing, so maybe I'll use that subject to kickstart this little blog and get comfortable. I haven't read many blogs and have never really considered doing one, but a good friend of mine has one and I recently caught up with her life by reading it, and it is a wonderful way to just record daily thoughts and express yourself, and I thought I might enjoy it. So here goes!!
